Our tent will be 60% bigger in 2013 but we'll still have hard walls, glass doors, HVAC climate control, asphalt floor, restrooms at both ends, an improved food court at the north end, even more uniformed security, and lots and lots of customers!

ADVERTISING:
After the show, you must file your Arizona State TPT return. Here are the return
and the instructions. Alternatively, you can file on-line by clicking here and then select "Enroll to File and Pay Online" to register and file your Arizona sales tax return.
You must also obtain a Tucson Business License and file a Tucson sales tax return as well. A Tucson official will visit you at the show to issue you the business license, which has been $28 in years past. The information to file your Tucson sales tax return will be on the business license.
Wholesale buyers with a business license are exempt from sale tax. But it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to record the business license information from wholesale buyers and retain it should they be audited.
Most gems, jewelry, semi-precious / precious stones, and precious metals are also exempt from import duties. However there are many exceptions in which the duty is 10% or more. To learn which specific items are subject to duty, please visit the official United States International Trade Commission website and use the Search function.
If only a few items are subject to duty and the amount is low, it is usually fastest / cheapest to pay the duty. However, in cases where the duty would be high, then the exhibitor can acquire an ATA Carnet at a cost of about $300 (+ surety bond at a cost of 1% of the merchandise value). The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that allows the holder to temporarily (up to one year) import goods without payment of normally applicable duties and taxes, including value-added taxes in more than 71 countries. The ATA Carnet eliminates the need to purchase temporary import bonds. So long as the goods are re-exported within the allotted time frame, no duties or taxes are due. Failure to re-export all goods listed on the ATA Carnet results in the need to pay the applicable duties (as would be the case for items that are sold). The acronym ATA is a combination of French and English phrases "Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission."
To learn about and obtain an ATA Carnet please visit the International Chamber of Commerce website.

SECURITY: Two uniformed & armed officers are on-site 24 hours a day for the duration of the show starting at 10 am on Tuesday, 29-Jan and ending at 10 am on Monday, February 18, 2013. We will have 6' barbed wire chain-link fencing encircling the back and two sides of the show site, as well as (20) night-time exterior lights. The structure has tough fiberglass wall panels and a heavy TL-30 safe is available for rent for $100 (insurance not included). Despite these precautions, losses are inevitable, especially due to shoplifting. As an exhibitor you accept all risk of loss, damage, and theft whatever the cause and agree to hold the promoter, its employees, contractors, and suppliers, as well as the City of Tucson blameless in the event of loss of any kind. It is your responsibility to obtain insurance and provide adequate protection (such as showcases and safes) for your own merchandise.
SET-UP DAYS & TIMES:

VISA REQUIREMENTS:
Acquiring a visa to visit the USA can be a fast & easy process, or a long & frustrating one. It depends on the type of agreement between your country and the USA. To start the process, go to USembassy.gov and select your country from the list -- which is arranged by continent. The job of the embassy official is to ensure that you are a legitimate seller with an established business. Therefore tax records, a website, catalogs or brochures, bank statements, and other evidence of your business would help them to be sure that you are indeed a genuine business person.
